Group lessons Tignes | Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise
At Snocool, a group lesson is never a mass lesson.
For children: groups are limited to 4 or 6 pupils maximum. This allows instructors to support each child individually, give personalised advice and make sure everyone progresses while having fun. Treasure hunts, friendly challenges, constant encouragement: the aim is to build children’s confidence and help them develop a love of skiing.
For teenagers: lessons are designed to keep them engaged and motivated. Instructors adapt their teaching style to young people’s energy and goals, whether they want to improve their technique or try freestyle.
For adults: our group lessons are limited to 6 participants, making them ideal for progressing with others without compromising on teaching quality. They are a great way to regain confidence, move up a technical level or simply share a friendly moment with other ski enthusiasts.

Snocool has more than 25 years of teaching experience in ski and snowboard. We offer one-on-one lessons in English for adults in all three of the ski resorts in which we operate – Tignes, Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise and Val d’Isère.
One-on-one lessons are ideal if you want to move up a level or regain your confidence as you learn at your own pace under the professional guidance of a friendly, qualified English-speaking ski instructor.

Snowboard Tignes | Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise | Val d’Isère
Snocool is a ski and snowboard school recognised for its snowboard expertise. Since 1998, we have been supporting beginners, freestylers and freeriders in Tignes, Val d’Isère and Sainte-Foy.
From the age of 7, you can discover snowboarding with a passionate instructor. Lessons begin by helping you feel confident with the equipment, before progressing step by step through stance, balance and your first turns. From there, you can move on to freestyle, carving or freeride, depending on what you want to explore.

Off-piste guides in France Tignes | Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise | Val d’Isère
The three resorts of Tignes, Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise and Val d’Isère have several chairlifts that give skiers and snowboarders access to countless trails, far from the crowds and busy slopes. If you have an adventurous spirit or are already a fan of off-piste skiing, our guides can plan unique excursions for you deep into the heart of the mountains.
These three resorts offer an endless number of trails and unspoiled terrain, which allow accomplished snowboarders and skiers, as well as those new to off-piste skiing, to discover entire slopes of pristine powder snow. Our instructors – all passionate about off-piste skiing – will give you tips and advice on how to master off-piste skiing and ski touring techniques like a true professional.
Want to go further? Ski touring combines the effort of climbing with skins with the reward of descending through untouched snow.

Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise
If you’re looking for an alternative to ski lessons, why not try snowshoeing? It’s a great activity that lets you make the most of the great outdoors amidst the region’s picturesque hamlets and quintessential larch and spruce forests.
It’s an ideal activity for a family outing. Snowshoe outings are suitable for all ages and are just as popular with children as they are with parents and grandparents.
Your outing can be as long or as short as you like. Whether you walk for two hours, a half day or a full day, you will discover the countryside and its wildlife in a unique way. During your outing, keep your eyes peeled for the tracks of various mountain animals, such as mountain hares, deer, squirrels and foxes, to name but a few. Your guide is happy to share with you all their knowledge of local fauna and mountain life.

Our school is founded on good service and high standards. The Snocool team consists entirely of mountain guides and ski and snowboard instructors who are experienced and who hold or are taking the French state diploma in alpine skiing.
They are also bilingual in English and will teach and guide you in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Our instructors are a close-knit group whose priority is to offer you a personalised experience and build a genuine relationship with each person they teach.
Some of our instructors have been working with us for over 20 years, and more and more of you are coming back to see us every year. This is no coincidence, but the result of exceptional teamwork.

How many pupils are there per group?

Do children receive a medal?
Yes, every child leaves with a medal that celebrates their progress. No competition, just encouragement.
Is Snocool officially recognised?
Yes, we are affiliated with the ESi and approved by the French Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Our instructors are fully qualified, don’t worry — they have exactly the same qualifications as the “red ones”. The only difference? The colour of the outfit. The standard is exactly the same… even if that sometimes comes as a surprise!
What are the prices?
They depend on the option you choose: group lessons, private lessons or off-piste sessions.
Do you offer equipment hire?
