A School Born from Passion
Founded in 1998 by a group of passionate riders, Snocool was created to fulfill a simple yet essential need: to share the love of skiing & snowboarding in a human, respectful, and supportive environment.
At the time, snowboarding was still misunderstood and underrepresented in traditional ski schools. Fred, a local, and Régis Roland, a French snowboarding legend, decided to offer an alternative—a snowboard school in Tignes unlike any other: freer, closer, and more invested.
Initially focused on freestyle and snowboarding, the school later expanded to ski and freeride, while retaining its original spirit: a human-scale, independent, locally rooted structure.
Today, Snocool is a ski school in Tignes, Val d’Isère, and Sainte-Foy Tarentaise, renowned for its proximity, adaptability, and quality of instruction.

We’re not a large, impersonal ski school—every student is unique. Our instructors are chosen for their technical skills, but also for their empathy, listening ability, and desire to share.
Experienced & Committed Instructors
The Snocool team now includes 20 ski and snowboard instructors, all state-certified, multilingual, and passionate.
Many have been teaching with us for over 10 years, a testament to the loyalty and positive atmosphere within the school.
Their profile: seasoned professionals from major ski schools (ESF, Évolution 2, etc.), who chose Snocool for its collective spirit and friendly approach.

More intimate, Sainte-Foy charms with its authenticity and larch forests. It’s the perfect playground for gentle freeriding, families, and nature outings. Snocool has been operating here since the beginning, our local team knows every corner of the mountain.
