SNOWSHOEING
Ideal activity for non-skiers, it brings together children, parents and grandparents for a pleasant immersion into the nature.
Within two hours, half day or day walks, you discover the local forests of larches and spruces where animal footprints (mountain hare, deer, squirrel, ptarmigan, fox…) are so much evidence of the intense life that takes place in the mountains !
Explore as well some of the 50 hamlets of Saint Foy’s region, among which the famous classified hamlet of Monal. All these hamlets are the vestiges of the Savoyard way of life of the last century.
Our mountain leader will share with you all its extensive knowledge of wildlife and mountain lifestyle.

Do you know our snowshoe adventure « under the stars » ? – A fun après-ski activity for the whole family!
Our snowshoe guide will take you through the forest to our isolated heaven. You can relax with a drink and a tasting of local products while the children enjoy hot chocolate and grilled marshmallows. After this break, a short night walk with torchlight, where the magical atmosphere of the stars and the snowy forest will enchant you. Accessible from an early age to grandparents, a unique moment all together, just make sure you are well covered !

DURING THE DAY : An ideal activity for skiers and non-skiers, an enjoyable moment discovering Sainte Foy’s surrounding forests and Hamlets.
UNDER THE STARS OUTING : After a short walk under the milky way we make a break at our isolated heaven. While children are having snacks and fun, adults can relax with a well deserved savoyard aperitif.
EQUIPMENT NEEDED :
Snowshoes and walking poles can be rented from any shop in the resort for around €10 per day).
Sturdy boots (waterproof hillwalking boots or snowboard boots) also available if necessary.
CLOTHING AND OTHER ITEMS RECOMMENDED :
Waterproof and warm jacket.
Waterproof and warm trousers.
Waterproof and warm gloves (ski gloves ideal).
Fleece or wool jumper.
Wool or fleece hat, covering the ears.
Scarf or neck warmer.
Thick socks, ideally wool (ski socks ideal).
Sun screen and lip protection (SPF 30 as a minimum).
Sunglasses.
Rucksack (for food, water, spare warm layers, personal items).
Water bottle.
MEETING POINT
All snowshoes outings meet in front of the restaurant “1580” located at the top of the village, 5 minutes prior to the departure.
Our office is located right next to the restaurant “la maison à colonne”.
